Wainhomes Senior Site Manager, Dave Brown is celebrating after adding to his tally of awards, by winning a prestigious 2019 NHBC Health & Safety National Award.
Dave’s approach to Health & Safety and quality management is refreshingly enthusiastic and proactive. He is a highly motivated and conscientious individual who is extremely dedicated to his work and also possesses an exceptional eye for detail.
Based at Wainhomes Paddocks development in Higher Bartle, near Preston, he maintains a high degree of rapport with his workforce while at the same time conveying strong leadership skills, which he uses to good advantage in order to foster a pro-active culture towards raising standards on site.
Dave constantly uses his own initiative to maximise his resources and thereby continually enhance both the build quality and the H&S environment for his workforce, visitors to site and members of the public. He genuinely considers winning awards as a consequence of doing things the correct way but is nonetheless extremely proud of his achievements.
Over the past four years, Dave has also accumulated six Health & Safety awards, three ‘Pride in the Job’ quality awards and a ‘Seal of Excellence’ quality award. He could further add to his tally at the NHBC PIJ awards ceremony to be held in October where he will be in the running for another Seal of Excellence and possibly a ‘Regional’ award.
This national award is the ‘icing on the cake’ for Dave, who considers winning all these awards as not only a great personal honour, but also as a reward for all his many years of hard work and dedication made possible by an extended circle of support and superb contractors.
Dave’s achievements are indeed a tremendous accomplishment for both himself and for Wainhomes (North West) Limited.
